CELESTIALS
celestials (earth, moon, sun) as deities in various mythologies. i made assets with gouache paint and illustrator, combined & edited in photoshop. (click for descriptions)
MUSHROOM MASK
to create this collage, i added a mask from a dark statue, human features from another paper, glued mushroom, and embedded it in a brick wall. i added extra mushrooms from fabric for texture. i finished it off with some ransom-note style lettering. i wanted it to seem as if it hard a dark story about it.
SKELETONAL
warped perspective of a skeleton made with color pencils, gouache, and paper. i sketched and colored mr. skeleton, then added some doodles and quotes about death both written and using my typewriter and gouache to age the paper

NUTELLA STILL LIFE
a pencil still life of my favorite food, nutella. i wanted to try something with text and placed it at an angle to challenge myself on the perspective. i focused on the range of values in the nutella itself, because of shadows, and the bright highlights of the plastic against the light.
DIYA STILL LIFE
still life of a "diya" (a candle) to celebrate diwali. i really wanted to capture the perspective i saw placing down diyas. the wood detail and the unlit candles added to the environment.
